An outdoor photographer and enthusiast, Kai and his photography skills have wowed us since he owned his Subaru and still blows us away. Based out of the Bay area, Kai has shown just how incredible the wilderness in northern California and beyond can be!

Who are you, and How did you get into the outdoor space?
My name is Kai. I grew up in a small village in Thailand. I've always had fond memories of playing in the open field, chasing bugs, and going fishing with my dad. My family moved to the United States when I was younger, but we didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors as much. I've always had those memories of growing up in Thailand, so I started to venture out in nature when I was old enough to drive. I started with hiking, then camping, and of course, cycling. I later got into car camping / overlanding, so I began to mod my vehicle to get me to more places. I love the outdoors, just driving around, exploring during the day, setting up camp, and relaxing while enjoying the sunset in nature.
Gear tips and tricks?
- I cannot STRESS how much ORGANIZATION IS KEY
- Be prepared for anything; you need to be able to help yourself and others
- Do your research, and always visit the ranger station if you can to get any new info
- Always pack in, pack out! Don't be that guy! Leave it better than you found it!
What's your favourite place you’ve visited?
Probably the Eastern Sierras. Any place along 395 is breathtaking!
How has Rack Attack made your life easier?
I love everything that I have ever gotten from Rack Attack. They always have great customer service, but most importantly, I love their Youtube channel because it details a lot of the core products they have, making your buying decision much more informed.
