Excellent cargo box. Holds 1 sleeping tent (5 man), 1 dining tent (hex screenhouse), 4 sleeping bags /w air mats, and all kinds of other items. I have to be careful not to overload it, as dense items reach the load limit quickly Occasional issues with closing and locking, but that's usually due to how I loaded it. Be careful when moving it around with the latches open, as I lost a solid brass fitting once, and had to by one from Rack Attack Mississauga.

The box came fully assembled. I only had to lift it onto my Toyota Highlander and tighten the clamps. My vehicle came with a factory rack and the clamps fit it very well. The clamps are a bit difficult to work with as they tend to stick and require a lot of force to flip them over - but perhaps I have them too tight. I agree with the reviews that the lid doesn't open very wide. However the lid is very stable and doesn't wobble around like other boxes I have seen. This will do the job for us and get our skis out of the passenger's headspace. If the clamps were easier to operate I would have given it a 5.

This is a two-part review. One for the cargo box and the other for Rack Attack. I placed the order on RackAttack's website on a Tuesday and the item shipped the following day. The item was at my doorstep the following Tuesday. Excellent processing time and shipping. RackAttack had the best prices hands down, the craziest part - free shipping! No other shop offered free shipping besides REI (the box was out of stock). The box fit perfectly on my vehicle's roof. I have it sitting on a pair of Yakima's own FlushBar System and it is dead silent, no noise unlike what other's have experienced and I am able to open my trunk with plenty of space left before my hatch touches the tail of the box. It will be used primarily to haul skiing/snowboarding gear so I hope it lasts a long time but only time will tell how well the box itself holds up.
