I want to purchase Thule 575 snowboard carrier, do i also need to get xadapt7 to attach 575 to factory cross-bars?

The 575 will work on the factory Subaru bars out of the box. The XAdapt7 is only utilized for oversized crossbars such as those on BMWs, Nissan XTerras, and Hummers.
You'll be all set with just the 575 Snowboard Carrier.
