Yakima JayLow Kayak Rack

Don’t know if it’s the Yakima lock or the actual Yakima rack but two of the Yakima locks don’t work. The key won’t turn to the right to lock the lock onto the kayak rack.

Overall great product. The only annoying thing is the whistling sound.

I bought 2 JayLow racks. I love that they price matched another website! However, one of the racks I received was used. It looked like it was one someone had tried on their vehicle and returned. The area that you turn to tighten on rack was torn up like someone used a wrench to tighten it and couldn’t get it tight enough. I would have returned but didn’t want to go through the hassle. One of them rattles like something is loose in it, but they do work.... I would have ordered from the other website if I had known I was going to get a used rack.

I have been using the jaylow for a year, hauling 2 fishing kayaks between Syracuse, NY and the Cape. Overall these racks are great. That said, the nuts and bolts vibrate loose so apply loctite right out of the box to the ones that secure the hoops to the plastic base.
