The rack is solid but somewhat unwieldy. After waiting a while to receive it, I discovered that the rack is not a good fit for a Honda Accord. The side strap hooks dig into the rear light lenses and will definitely chip and crack these lenses in a relatively short time. This will result in an expensive repair cost. Before using my rack, I bought a couple of straps from Saris that eliminate the need for side hooks. I also had the lower trunk hooks removed and re-sewn on the short straps that come with the Gateway Pro 2. I now have a solid and safe rack that will not damage my tail light lenses. It is somewhat irresponsible for Thule to suggest that this particular rack is a good fit for a Honda Accord. Thule should at least mention that some modifications are required before using the Gateway Pro 2 on vehicles where rear light lense damage will take place. Saris does mention these required modifications on its website, by the way.
