No matter what you want to carry, everything starts with getting a couple of bars across the roof of your car. Getting two cross-bars across your roof is easy, but can seem a little complicated due to the huge variety of racks available for all different vehicle makes and models

For Vehicles with a Bare Roof
The Most common style of rack sold these days is for roofs with a completely bare roof. For this style of vehicle Yakima uses a rack system that sits on your roof, and mounts by clamping into your door jams. It's both removable and secure, a perfect combination. This style of rack setup needs three parts:
