The Thule 9025 Apex 4-bike is Thule's new premium hitch rack that combines security, convenience and revolutionary new cradles with Road Dampening Technology (RDT) making it the most complete hitch rack on the market.

Product Features:

  • Snug-Tite receiver lock virtually eliminates hitch rack movement in receiver and locks the hitch rack to the vehicle
  • Arc design of the arms gives bikes greater clearance off the ground and provides greater distance between bikes preventing contact
  • Increased mast height for improved ground clearance
  • Patented No-Sway to prevent bike to bike contact - now designed with rubber bumpers for frame protection
  • Heavy-duty integrated lock allows you to lock your bikes to the rack and store your bikes on the hitch rack when not in use
  • Hitch Switch allows the arms to fold down when not in use and tilts the carrier down for rear of vehicle access
  • Integrated handle for easy carrying and handling
  • No-tool installation, simply load into the hitch receiver, then tighten & lock the receiver knob
  • Non-standard bike frames without a top cross bar may require the use of a frame adapter (sold separately)

This rack doesn't offer rear vehicle access out of the box. However, if your trailer hitch is 2" you can use the Yakima Backswing to add this feature to the rack. Just note the 250 lbs BackSwing weight limit.

The Apex 4 is a premium bike rack. I had an old 2 bike rack that I thought was the greatest thing ever until I got the Apex 4 and I was so amazed. Locking it into the hitch is so much easier and the way it folds and unfolds beats my old one hands down. Also it doesn't scratch or slam around my new bike which is the most important to me. I would highly recommend this or any Thule products to anyone that wants a quality product.
