Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts

The Universal Mounts allowed me to use my Mako Saddles on the new aftermarket blade style crossbars I purchased for my new car. They work, but they are incredibly expensive for what they are. Decent, overpriced gear.

Yakima has a great product and rack attack has a great customer service.

These are great. Seem very durable and we’re easy to install. Only docked one star because the bike racks I have take three each, but they only come in packs of 4 that I could see. Wish you could buy in pairs.

Would have been nice if there was a better way to lock the rack on to the crossbars. Other than my security worry it works great.

Worked well to adapt an older Buttondown 4 to Whispa Bars

Allows me to use older hardware with the new aero bars. I did make some adapters out of delrin. Advantage: Machinist.

Pretty easy to set up. They worked with Thule aero bars that came with the used car I recently purchased.

The Universal Mighty Mounts work perfectly with my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe XL roof racks and Yakima Cobra Bike Racks. Excellent product, exactly as advertised.

The wing nuts that are provided with the yakima ski rack so as to prevent theft of the skis after the racks are locked could not be used as the wings struck the mounts and could not be used. Alternative hardware was used.
