When I first installed my Yakima rack the "roar" from the rack above 60kph was deafening if I did not have my roof box installed (Thule Ranger).
The fairing worked great on my Cobalt. The roar from the roof rack is gone.

Carlos T. is definitely on to something, but the fairing worked awesome on my '04 Neon. My girlfriend has a Volvo sedan and her fairing doesn't do anything to stop wind noise except look cool, so I guess it just depends on the car more than anything. Anyway, everybody should get one just so you can put all your stickers on it and stuff.
