I use the Thule Goalpost mounted to the rear hitch of my SUV to enable me to more easily load my 2 kayaks on top of the SUV's roof rack. The roof rack uses 2 sets of Thule 835XT kayak carriers. I can also mount a third small 10 ft kayak across the rear roof crossbar and the goalpost bar. This makes my Thule Goalpost serve a dual purpose of kayak loader and carrier. The only drawback is I cannot open the rear cargo door with the Goalpost attached.
