The Thule 918 T2 Add On is a two bike carrier extension that works with your existing Thule 916 T2 hitch bike carrier. The Thule 918 T2 Add On will only work with the 2" version and features all the same materials and mechanics of the T2.

The Thule 918 T2 Two Bike Hitch Add On 2 inch rack is well engineered and functions very well. It will hold up well with the ware and tear it takes and is a very nice accompaniment to the Thule 916 T2. Any average strength male or female should be able to attach the rack add on to the Thule 916 T2. It’s actually some what lighter then the 916 T2, since it doesn’t mount into the trailer hitch there is less weight and materials used. All types of bicycles attach very easily and the rack will work for any type bike including race bikes, mountain bikes, Cannondale Lefty’s, kid’s bikes etc. There is some adjustment of the bike holder left / right, back / forward if needed. The add on attaches very securely with the two mounting bolts provided. I also like the option of using core locks, and the Thule Snug Tite 2 lock.
My only slight criticism is I wish the original Thule 916 T2 Bike Hitch had a hole drilled through both sides of the 2 inch metal attachment tube so that the Thule Snug Tite 2 lock could be used to lock together the 916 with the 918 attachment. This can be corrected by the owner drilling the second ½” hole.
