I love the ability to make minor adjustments to the T2 like bike spacing and offsets in case you have a spare tire behind your car.

If you are a downhill mountain biker, like me, there is no substitute to the Thule T2. With so many different bike frames out there, post style hitch racks become really inconvenient. The fold-up and fold-down is easy, and when folded up the rack is quiet.

In my opinion the Thule 916 T2 Bike Hitch 2 inch rack is well engineered and functions very well. It’s a bit on the heavy side but it has to be on order to hold up with all the ware and tear. Any average strength male or female should be able to attach the rack to the hitch mount, and it’s very easy to mount the bikes. The rack will work for any type bike including race bikes, mountain bikes, Cannondale Lefty’s, kid’s bikes etc., and will hold the bike firmly. There is some adjustment of the bike holder left / right, back and forward if needed. I also like the option of using core locks, the Thule 918 T2 two bike Add On, and the Thule Snug Tite 2 lock which all work well.
