I was wondering just how "resistant" these Weather Resistant bags are. I am taking a week long road trip across country... can I trust my things in this bag to not leak while driving through a rain storm?

All Yakima and Thule bags are said to be weather resistant and not weather proof. We always suggest to put items going in the bag inside of a trash bag or something that will help keep items dry if caught in a rain storm.
