The Thule 753-3998 Ski Rack Mounting Hardware contains replacement mounting hardware for the older model Thule ski and snowboard racks. The Thule 753-3998 replaces the previous Thule FM1 clamp. (Original wing nuts are required for install)

- Requires original wing nuts to install
- Allows older model Thule ski and snowboard carriers to mount to Thule rapid aero bars and wider factory bars
- Replaces the Thule FM-1 Fat Mouth clamp

Hi,
I have 2011 Subaru Outback but have an older Thule 724 ski rack. Will these clamps allow a fit to the factory Outback bars? Thanks. Chris

Yes, this is what you need for factory crossbars.

Xterra cross bars are very wide and the Thule ski racks that I purchased don't fit. Is this the correct rack?

The (753-3998) will work for your Xterra bars however, you will need longer bolts which are found in the Xadapt 7 kit. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at 303-278-4999.
