I was advised by a Rack Attach technician that the 1600XT was the largest Thule box that would fit our new Highlander, but I had seen photos of the 1800XT box on another Highlander on a Toyota enthusiasts' forum and decided to risk it. Mounted on Thule RB53 Rapid Aero Bars and 450R Rapid Crossroad towers attached to the factory rails, the box has minimal but sufficient clearance to the rear-hatch spoiler with the hatch open. This will make a great camping box for our family.
