Boxter actually enhances the overall look of the frumpy Escape....gives it a cool factor. There is virtually NO added wind noise from this box, much to my surprise. Box fits perfectly to factory racks and rear liftgate pops up with no contact with box.
I like it..definitely worth the extra cash for a quality item..the big thing again for me...no wind turbulence/noise/nor increase in fuel consumption

Overview: The Thule 611 Boxter is now Thule's premium cargo box. It is the Flagship of their cargo box line, and it's design is a culmination of everything that has made Thule a household name in terms of reliability and quality. Thule has done their best to develop a premium box that has a look to go with the sleekest of vehicles, as well as improved functionality of previous models, and we can tell you first hand that they really have hit a home run with this box.
Redesigned Inside and Out: The two-tone glossy finish of the Boxter is a Thule first, but we have mounted them on a multitude of 2009 vehicles, and they all look incredibly sharp. However the changes on the inside are definitely what sets the Boxter apart. The Boxter has ribs on the inside of the lid, which reinforces the overall strength of the box and it also includes internal stiffeners to reduce vibration and noise while driving. The combination of these two things as well as redesigned lid lifters makes the fabled "one hand open and close" a reality.
