These are fantastic racks. If you need to put a lot of bikes very close together and have 20mm or 15mm thru axles, this is a great rack to use. I haul 4 DH bikes on a regular basis on my car. I've been in serious cross-winds, winding roads, etc and have never had an issue with these. best rack for the price.

Is there a mechanism to lock my thule-599xtr bike rack to my cross bars

You will need to purchase a Thule One-Key lock cylinder (100LOCK). It will allow your system to be lockable. If you have any other questions, feel free to give us a call at 800 399 RACK. Thanks!
