Bought this rack because it had the ability to be adjusted to stream line my kayaks and cut down a little drag. I also tow a 33 ft travel trailer so I was looking to get savings from wherever I could. No hard data for savings but the rack performs excellently and looks good too. Always get lots of "Where did you get that" questions. Very solid and well built.

Are these the new 2013 xSporter pro models? and is there one to fit my 2013 Chevy Silverado. The Thule website says there are no models to fit my truck.

Does this rack require an adapter to work with the track rail system in my Tundra (i.e. the 422XT requires the XK2 adapter)?

We are showing from the Thule fit guide that the new Thule 500 does not use an adapter to mount to your existing rails.

The old style had slots where the uprights could lock in to place - assuring you that the racks were level - both front to back racks as well as side to side on each one. This new version has eliminated the slots and has switched to a vertical track. Are there notches or marked graduations in place that keep the racks at a uniform height and level? You cannot tell from the images provided.

Thank you for your email. The new Xsporter Pro has numerous "indentations" for vertical adjustment allowing for a greater degree of adjustment over the old Xsporter.
