Thule 611ter Cargo Box

Product arrived safely via freight truck packed in a cardboard box with adhesive sponge type styrofoam at key points for protection and was double wrapped in plastic. Product worked exactly as advertised. Was easy to mount/adjust/secure to the Jeep crossbars that came with our vehicle. No wind noise and it was rock steady with about 200 lbs of bags packed inside. The gloss black and gray color matches well well with our black GC.

I first like to thank you for taking the time to fit the box to the Touareg on such short notice. I thank you, also, for questioning the fit on the bars. It is good to see somebody standing by their product and questioning any problem as they arise. Thank you for the sending the thread on your correspondence to Thule. I agree that it is not ideal, but as an engineer I do agree that it would still grip the bars sufficiently. I had my eye on it all the way up to North Bay and there were a few cross winds but the attachment did not budge so I am happy with the grip it provides I will certainly recommend Rackattack to any of my friends and/or colleagues in the future. Boxter actually enhances the overall look of the frumpy Escape....gives it a cool factor. There is virtually NO added wind noise from this box, much to my surprise. Box fits perfectly to factory racks and rear liftgate pops up with no contact with box. I like it..definitely worth the extra cash for a quality item..the big thing again for me...no wind turbulence/noise/nor increase in fuel consumption

Redesigned Inside and Out: The two-tone glossy finish of the Boxter is a Thule first, but we have mounted them on a multitude of 2009 vehicles, and they all look incredibly sharp. However the changes on the inside are definitely what sets the Boxter apart. The Boxter has ribs on the inside of the lid, which reinforces the overall strength of the box and it also includes internal stiffeners to reduce vibration and noise while driving. The combination of these two things as well as redesigned lid lifters makes the fabled "one hand open and close" a reality.
