Yakima LoadWarrior Cargo Basket

Love my Yakima Load Warrior Carry Basket. It’s solid, sturdy, well made and I was able to carry lots of camping gear without having to load up my car to the rim. It was easy to assemble and it’s there for life. Very satisfied w my purchase and I highly recommend it.

2019 Subaru Crosstrek (XV)

Have not used the rack yet but it was easy to assemble and install. The rack seems sturdy if the vehicle and will be nice to have the added space for road trips.

I have only had the basket installed for the past several days, but I give it five stars based on the apparent quality and the ease of installation. It's very sturdy, but it is not too heavy. I was able to easily place it on top of my car without any assistance. It looks good on the car; it gives it that utilitarian look I was going for. Of course, it will also be useful - it's not just about the looks! It does appear a bit short on the car (not a fault of Yakima or Rack Attack). The dimensions are clearly given on the website, but it's one of those things that you really can't tell until it's been installed. My car is small, but the roofline is long from front to back. I will most likely be ordering the extension kit. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product.

2016 Fiat 500 3dr

There was a washer missing in my package. One of 4 of the tubing screws was very difficult to install. And one other tubing screw I could not get installed. After installation on my car the rack made too much wind noise to be useable for everyday driving. I tried a hack that seems to have worked well enough - I wrapped the front bar with a bungy cord and moved the plastic deflector lower on the bottom bar. This was after several experiments and now seems to be quiet enough to leave the rack in place for everyday driving. After a week or so I actually don’t hear the wind noise now.

I just love my Load Warrior with 18" extension! Have my HiLift jack and shovel mounted to it and haul my EZ up shade and firewood bundles to camp in it. I frequently 4 wheel and explore back country and the Load Warrior has taken a beating over and over from low hanging branches and never budges. Seriously this is the "takes a lickin' and keeps on haulin'" cargo rack!!!

We recently attended a conference at a large conference center with an attached parking structure. Not having lived with roof racks before the LoadWarrier and extension we now have on our X-Terra under similar circumstances, we underestimated our height- and found ourselves scraping the ceiling more than once with our empty roof rack as we slowly extracted ourselves from that section. At times, you could feel the car settle on its tires as we inched through. After scraping our way out and parking at the 6'9" section instead of the 6'5" section, we figured we would assess the damage when we got back to our hotel. As we were driving away at the end of the day, someone pulled up beside us at a stoplight and told us, "Somthing fell off the top of your car". We found a quiet street, parked, and my husband stepped up to see how bad the damage to the roof rack really was. He stepped down with a chunk of the garage ceiling in his hand- one of several pieces, some looked about 8 or 9 inches in length. The Yakima rack had a few scratches in the paint, but was otherwise intact. Wow, what a roof rack!
