Very easy to install. But it is hard to load the bike. The front wheel locking system does not work with the bike fender. So every time when I load the bike, I had to adjust the fender

Very easy to load and lock the bike firmly in place. Just be sure you can pick the bike up over your head before purchasing. Very satisfied with this bike rack.

These are good racks. I wanted just some smaller low profile fork mounts, but these will allow me to fit everything from my kids' 20 inchers, to my wife's cruiser with a locked wheel. Very versatile rack.

On CRV. Holds bike well. I use a step stool (with storage for bike stuff) and, until I did it a few times did find it a struggle given the height of the car and weight of the bike. Did need to install in reverse to allow for the tailgate to open - likely due to location of the installed cross bars on the car being nearer the back. This method is “approved” in the manual. One issue this way was a terrible whistling from the front (back) of the rack which I fixed by zip tying a small piece of stiff plastic to the front (back) (photo attached). Can’t say the cable and locks would even slow down a thief so I use a U lock with alarm if I need to park with the bike loaded (don’t drive with the U lock!).

Nice Rack, better if installed near the edge of the roof for ease of accessibility. Simple and easy to set up and use. Very quick load and unload of bicycle. Muddy tires, no problem because they are not going in the car :)

So simple. Didn't want to have to yank the wheel off and on. This set up is perfect for my bike packing bike with Plus size tires. Fit well on the set up I put in the truck bed.

The FrontLoader has been useful for holding and securing several types and sizes of wheels, from a 20" youth mountain bike to a 700x25C road bike. The features are well designed and easy to use - wheel size selector and cable lock in particular. I find loading a heavy bike onto an SUV is a bit high for me (I am 6' tall) to roll it forward into the front wheel mechanism but the design's simplicity, security, and ability to collapse to a lower profile when not in use are worth it.

If you can move the bars on your roof rack (on your vehicle it should be possible) try moving the front bar forward/backwards. Often this can fix or reduce wind noise from a rack. But some racks, on some cars, make noise. The windshield/fairings we sell for Thule/Yakima racks help with this as well, but if you're using factory bars we don't have one which will fit, unfortunately.

Rack seems very sturdy. Only issue is the racks whistle very loud when driving without a bike on them. Was hoping to not have to take off the car all the time but not an option when using a sun roof.

Great stable rack...easy install, easy use, although I wish I were taller and stronger to get my bike up onto the car without using a step stool as it is more of a challenge to load than a fork mounted tray, but I am sure it will get easier for me in time

Product comes fully assembled in the box and well packed so there were zero issues on delivery. Very quick and easy to attach to the car. I though for a minute the rear clamp wouldn't fit my Thule aero bars but a quick check of the manual showed me how to make it work. Getting bikes on and off is very quick and easy. Used it twice for short-haul bike transports and so far so great.

Bought this to replace my old model FrontLoader for transporting my Giant Trance. The new model is much improved. Still using in with my RailGrab towers and round crossbar, but like how it will work with wing-shaped bars in case I upgrade in the future. A great, stable transport at an economical price!

Great product. Very happy with purchase and shipping. Be advised that the rear bike rack clamp does not fit the factory cross bar for the Hyundai Santa Fe. The clamp, while tightening, only makes contact the rear of the crossbar. It can be used as is but the bottom of the clamp does not make full even contact with the crossbar. Hyundai for some reason designed the bar in a horizontal teardrop shape. Hope Yakima comes up with a fix. I listed my vehicle with my order and was not warned of the ill fitting clamp.

Just placed an order before 12pm and the rack is already shipping. I sent out a questionnaire Sunday evening and customer service had responded with a cheaper and better option than I had anticipated in less than 24hrs. So far so good. Looking forward to using my new rack. Fantastic customer service, much appreciated.

After a week and a half of reviewing the current field of roof mounted bike carriers I chose to buy the Yakima Frontloader. My criteria was....had to fit Thule racks(square bar) had to solidly hold my bike(22"frame 29er, had to be lockable to my car and the bike, had to be quick and easy to put on and off between my 2 cars, and had to look good as it was going to sit on my BMWs. This rack delivered solidly on all points. It is a great piece of engineering. I took it out of the box in the parking lot, threw it on my roof rack an had it locked down in 2minutes. No tools(other than the allen key they give you to screw on a single bolt that holds the wheel clamp) and I was on my way. The whole process of buying really frustrated me. No good reviews online other and everyone I ask tells me I need to buy the top of the line Thule or Yakima product. It came down to the Highroller, the Sidearm, and the Front loader. Every dealer tried to convince me you needed the top of the line....kind of started to sound elitist rather than what I needed. My bike sits on top with little wobble or sway. At then end of the day they will all sway to some degree. I have driven past all of them on the road and seen slight movement on all. I only bought one lock core(that pops in at the front to secure the holder to my racks) as the cable lock attached looked a little short for my 22" 29er. I may add another to deter someone if they try to steal my bike while i get coffee. All in all the rack looks great and is crazy simple to use. I will add another at some point for my wife''''s bike. The only bad comment i would have is that is is only rated for bikes up 40pounds. If you have a heavy steel cruiser or a serious downhill bike you may want to look at the Highroller which is notably stronger or the sidearm which touches your forks. The 2 Yakimas I mentioned do not touch your frame ....which I love. The rep at the store told me the 1st version of this rack had a recall due to an issue with how it measured tires. They have corrected the problem by adding an extra setting.

The rack, not bad but doesn't secure the rack as I would like. The tightening mechanism on these types of racks pushes on the tires and causes it to rise thus the bottom of the wheel comes off the tray and the bikes wobble side to side. You can try to correct it by pulling down on the tire, tighten, pull down somemore, tighten. Would be expected for a $30 rack. Stuff just way overpriced for what you get. Rack attack, lose my contact info. Told you my application, had a problem with the PlusNut tools, you left a set of locks out. You didn't follow up after supposedly calling Yakima. You didn't send out the set of locks you talked me out of getting to start with. Then today after having to explain to your salesman 5 times the sitation and still not receiving my locks that were supposed to send out last week only to have him call 5 minutes later and state he wasn't sending them. About as piss poor service as you could expect. If this wasn't a custom rack and I didn't have to pay for shipping this load of crap would come back. Not that I expect honest feedback about you to make it long on your site, either way, don't post something cute trying to defend yourself and save face as I'm done with your company. DO NOT CONTACT me in anyway and waste another minute of my time. Pathetic
