I'm not sure how secure the skewer lock is - even when ratcheted down and locked in the "L" position it seems that getting it to turn (unthread) enough to free the fork. I haven't tried attaching a bike yet but may have to add a cable lock for piece of mind. I've not read of any such concerns from others so perhaps I just skeptical.

When I order the TieRod I was a little nervous because of the price. It was cheaper than the top name brands so I was concerned with the quality. But when I open it I was impressed. The RockyMounts TieRod definitely has the quality and the install was a breeze.

2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek

I just received my rack today, and put it on in the parking lot in 5 minutes. I love how it grips the factory rack on my P5. It allows me to still use the sunroof which the Yakima Forklift would not. Very stable and sleek. Didn't pick up much wind noise at all. The only thing I have to do (not a fault of the rack) is I have to cut about 2 inches off the end so it doesn't hit the hatch when I open it. I've already checked all my bikes and none of them will go off the end even with it shorter.
