Rack Attack sells three types of hitch bike racks. The first is a hanging racks where the bikes sit upright. These racks will carry pretty much any bikes under the weight limit. No! Any tools required for installing this rack product come included in the box!

This will depend on your vehicle, hitch, and size of tire. However, we can tell you that the forward-most tray (closest to the vehicle) sits about 15 inches from the location hole in the hitch. With the old NV we usually installed an 8 inch extension into the hitch and installed the NV from there. You might try another length as well, as you'll want to consider the handlebars on the bikes as well as accessibility to the rear door. Measure how much clearance you need, and take it from there.

My best bike rack yet

Great rack, was able to fit a 4.8 tire on it. Hitch pin is too small (1/2 in diameter) for a 2in hitch (should be 5/8") but I already had a 5/8" lockable pin at home. 1 1/4" comes with a 3/8" hitch pin. I don't really understand why...

That's super lame, but also an issue we haven't run into before. It sucks when a manufacturer makes us look bad. On a whole Kuat has proven to be one of the better racks and companies to deal with, I'm sorry you had issues. I hope this got resolved, if not call us and we will see how we can help.

One of the best designed and best looking products on the market for transporting bikes! Fit and finish was excellent, well packaged and went together perfect. This thing is a beast and holds the bikes tight, doesn't rattle and looks awesome. The built in bike stand I thought might just be a novelty but used it the first day and it is a great addition in the field.

I'd like to say that I love this rack-but the shipment was missing one large bolt-and one of the other bolts was bent and will not fit. Grr. I contacted Kuat via email and they said they'd send me the parts I needed. I just got the package from them, and it doesn't contain the parts that I need. I'm halfway tempted to return the whole thing and buy a Thule or Yakima rack. I'm sure the rack may be great-if I can ever get the parts from them.
